Solace & Soul

Gill Moses

I am Gill, based in East Clare, mother of 5. Granny to three lively and energetic young ones.
I love creativity, writing, nature, dance and yoga. I love to experience the connection that comes when you offer the gift of listening.

Since completing that training I have started to facilitate discussion groups in my local community. Based on the death cafe model, we talk about death & dying, life & living and from these discussions I have developed a series of workshops, each offering the opportunity to use creativity to look at different aspects of the life journey. I am interested in supporting individuals, families and communities to move ever closer to comfortable conversations about death and dying. I am especially interested in the support a doula can offer where there are wounds in relationships, so that peace of heart can bring solace at end of life.

Skills and Qualifications

My professional career was as a social worker for over 25 years.
I am also a facilitator with Parents Plus, a charity that develops supportive programmes for parents. I continue to lead these groups for parents of ADHDers and for separated parents. This experience guides the discussion groups I facilitate in my community.
After leaving my job I trained as a Celebrant and continue to offer this service to couples, families and individuals.
I trained subsequently as an EOL Doula after supporting a member of the community on her end of life journey with motor neuron disease.
